You can provide more detail in 6b. [help] The City of Redmond intends to rehabilitate the pavement surface on Willows Road between NE 90th and 124th Streets. The existing road section will be repaved and ADA ramps will be updated. In addition, the project will replace two culverts that span Willows Road, one at Willows Creek and one at Gun Club Creek. 6b. Describe the purpose of the project and why you want or need to perform it. [help] Willows Road between NE 90th and 124th Streets needs rehabilitation to extend service life. The culverts carrying Willows and Gun Club Creek under Willows Road are at the end of their anticipated service life and would be replaced as part of the road rehabilitation. The new culverts would generally be in the same footprint as the culverts being removed, but additional width would be provided to improve fish passage. ---PAGE BREAK--- ORIA-16-011 Page 5 of 13 6c. At Willows Creek, the existing 43”x27” corrugated metal pipe arch culvert will be replaced with a 12’ wide by 5’ foot high three-sided box culvert. Strip footings on each side of the culvert will be 2 by 2 feet and the culvert will be stabilized in place with seven 4” diameter pin piles on each side of the culvert, for a total of 14 pin piles. The piles will extend 25 feet beneath the existing ground surface. At Gun Club Creek, the existing 36”x22”corrugated metal pipe arch culvert will be replaced with a 10’ wide by 4’ foot high four-sided box culvert The culvert will be placed on an 18” deep rock pad foundation. An existing water line will be expanded to 1 foot in diameter and lowered to a depth of 7-8 feet below surface parallel to Willows Road. The project area is located outside the Sammamish River 100-year floodplain. The culvert replacements will be accomplished with equipment such as a pile driver, crane, excavator, dump truck, concrete truck, light service vehicles, and various hand tools. A nearby parking lot will be used for material storage and equipment staging. Access to the Project site will be via existing roads. 6f.
