CITY OF PUYALLUP REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS ADAPTIVE SIGNAL CONTROL TECHNOLOGY IMPROVEMENTS (SR161/MERIDIAN and 2nd/3rd STREET SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT) The City of Puyallup is requesting proposals from vendors interested in providing system equipment and services to deploy Adaptive Signal Control Technology (ASCT) for SR161/Meridian and 2nd/3rd Street Safety Improvements project. Vendors shall submit their proposal with the information regarding their general qualifications and experiences, project approach and work plan, response to system requirements, cost, references, and other information as required by the Request for Proposals (RFP). Respondent vendors will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria provided in the RFP. The top two to three vendors may be interviewed by the City and may be requested to provide a demonstration of their ASCT system. Final selection will be made by the selection committee after the interview process is complete. Questions regarding the information requested in the RFP shall be sent to Sanjeev Tandle, Project Manager, email: [EMAIL REDACTED] or can be asked at the pre-proposal meeting scheduled for Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Puyallup City Hall. A conference call number can be arranged for the pre-proposal meeting if needed. Written questions must be submitted before Friday, April 11, 2014. The City of Puyallup will respond to questions by Monday, April 21, 2014. Responses to this RFP must be submitted no later than 4:00 PM on Friday May 02, 2014. Proposal must be delivered to City Clerk’s Office, 4th Floor, City Hall, 333 S. Meridian Puyallup, WA 98371. The City of Puyallup in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
