Woodbine Cemetery, [PHONE REDACTED] Updated 4/2017 WOODBINE CEMETERY 2323 9th Street SW, Puyallup WA 98373 REGULATIONS & POLICIES OFFICE INFORMATION The cemetery office is open Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. To schedule an appointment, or for any questions, please call [PHONE REDACTED]. The office is closed Saturday and Sunday, but the grounds remain open seven days a week. FLOWERS & FLOWER RECEPTACLES Artificial flowers are only permitted November through February. Flowers shall be in cemetery approved receptacles only. Each gravesite may have a maximum of two flower receptacles. Receptacles for flowers must be sunk level with the ground to insure the safety of such articles and to facilitate the cutting of grass from the grave. Tin cans, glass jars, or boxes are prohibited. Proper receptacles may be purchased and installed by cemetery employees at the established price. The city reserves the right to remove and dispose of all nonapproved receptacles without notice to plot owners. Further, the city will not be responsible for anything placed upon graves that may be lost or displaced. (PMC 13.20.100) . HOLIDAY FLOWERS All Christmas decorations must be picked up by the first Sunday in January, items left will be disposed. All other holiday items will be picked up one week after the holiday. The following holidays are included in this policy: Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Veterans Day. STRUCTURES NOT ALLOWED Permanent plantings are not allowed on gravesites. No iron work, wire work, seats, benches, boxes, arbors, trellises, tripods, or objects of similar description will be allowed on lots. (PMC 13.16.020) WATER SHUTOFF Beginning the month of October, the water will be shut off for the winter. Water will be available by the office. HEADSTONES (Markers) All headstones (markers) must meet the cemetery’s regulations. Please contact the office for a copy of the regulations. The city does not bind itself to maintain, repair, or replace any grave markers or monumental structures placed upon the lot. If such repairs or replacements are desired by the lot owner, such repairs or replacements will be made by a retail monument dealer. DOUBLE USE OF GRAVES The cremated remains of two persons may be placed in one adult gravesite; or the cremated remains of one person can be placed in the same adult gravesite where a casket burial has taken place or is contemplated to take place; provided, however, that in each of these cases only one grave marker shall be allowed for such a grave. (PMC 13.12.060) ITEMS PLACED ON GRAVESITES Statues, vigil lights, windsocks, rocks, and similar items are not permitted on the graves for the safety of staff and visitors. Said items might get broken, not be visible when staff mows, and may become entangled in mowers causing damage to equipment and possible injury to staff or visitors. Please do not place items of value on gravesites. LOST AND FOUND Lost and found articles are to be turned in to the maintenance office at the cemetery. (PMC 13.20.080)
