Box 293, Pasco, WA 99301 Rev. 08.2019 ---PAGE BREAK--- BOARDS & COMMISSIONS CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION / PERSONNEL BOARD This Commission assures that hiring and promotion of police and fire employees is fair. There are three members (who also serve on the Personnel Board). Terms are six years and meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 5:15 pm. CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD This Board hears controversies regarding alleged violations of the city code, particularly property maintenance standards. There are five members. Terms are two years and meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm. DOWNTOWN PASCO DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY This Board undertakes and facilitates revitalization efforts in Downtown Pasco and oversees the activities and efforts of the Authority’s manager. There are seven members. Terms are four years and meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at 4:00 pm. HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION This Commission identifies and actively encourages the conservation of Pasco’s historic assets and serves as the City’s primary resource in matters of history, historic planning and preservation. There are five members. Terms are three years and meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at 5:15 pm. HOUSING AUTHORITY COMMISSION This Commission is responsible for management and operation of the City of Pasco and Franklin County Housing Authority, including public housing programs. There are five members (three appointed by the City and two by the County). Terms are five years and meetings are held the last Thursday of each month at 4:00 pm. LEOFF DISABILITY BOARD The LEOFF Disability Board is charged with the duty of reviewing and approving all medical and disability claims made by police officers and fire fighters who are members of the LEOFF Retirement System. There are five members. Terms are two years and meetings are held the third Monday of every month at 6:00 pm. PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD This Board advises the City Council on recreation activities and facilities needed in the community, as well as programs, activities and interests of senior citizens as they relate to the Senior Citizen Center. There are nine members. Terms are three years and meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm. PLANNING COMMISSION This Commission conducts workshop meetings and public hearings on land use policy and development requests and issues recommendations to the City Council. There are nine members. Terms are six years and meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm. PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT BOARD This Board oversees operation of the Pasco Public Facilities District. Though the District presently owns no facility, it may in the future acquire, construct, operate and maintain any qualified regional public facilities. The Board consists of five members. Terms are four years and meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:00 pm. Have you been looking for a way to have input in our community?
