Palmdale Blvd., will host a Musicals Movie Festival Monday, Aug. 20 through Thursday, Aug. 23. The movies will begin at 5:30pm. Admission and popcorn are free and the events are open to all ages. The festival will kick off Monday, Aug. 20 with Grease (rated PG-13), followed by Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (rated G) on Tuesday, Aug. 21, The Greatest Showman (rated PG) on Wednesday, Aug. 22, and concluding with Mary Poppins (rated G) on Thursday, Aug. 23. “We’re excited to offer a movie festival showcasing musicals that provide opportunities to transport viewers to a different place or time and experience the joy of music and dance,” said Library Associate Jaimie Jordan. “We hope you’ll join us!” This event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Palmdale City Library. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
