PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF PALMDALE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES DEPARTMENT COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM (CDBG) PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING REPROGRAMMING OF FUNDS FOR THE 2015-2016 PROGRAM YEAR AND THE PRIOR YEAR ACTION PLANS In accordance with the City’s Citizen Participation Plan and the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, this notice is to invite public comment and review of the City of Palmdale’s proposal to amend the 2015-2016 and prior Action Plans by the City Council on December 2, 2015 to: cancel the 2015-2016 Public Facility ADA Improvement activity and decrease funding, cancel the 2014-2015 Affordable Housing Development activity and decrease funding, and program unused funds from prior years to the new 2015-2016 ADA Compliance – Curb Ramps and Sidewalk Improvements activity. Subsequent to public comment and review, the action, if approved by the City Council, will reprogram funds to the new 2015-2016 ADA Compliance – Curb Ramps and Sidewalk Improvements activity in the 2015-2016 Action Plan as follows: From: 2015-2016 Public Facility ADA Improvement ($50,000) 2014-2015 Affordable Housing Development ($706,598) 2013-2014 Unprogrammed Funds ($36,365) 2012-2013 Unprogrammed Funds ($100,918) 2012-2013 Program Income ($6,119) Total ($900,000) To: 2015-2016 ADA Compliance – Curb Ramps and Sidewalk Improvements $900,000 Total $900,000 Individuals wishing to express their views concerning the above proposed activities are invited to attend the public hearing on December 2, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at City Council Chambers, 38300 N. Sierra Hwy, Suite B, City of Palmdale, or submit written comments to the City of Palmdale, Neighborhood Services Department, 38250 N. Sierra Hwy, Palmdale, CA 93550 no later than December 2, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. This notice is prepared in compliance with the City’s approved Citizen Participation Plan and Implementing Regulation 24 CFR 91.105.
