FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: May 10, 2017 Palmdale Playhouse to Host Opening Reception for “Detailed Moments in Time” by Teddi Bandt Tomorrow PALMDALE The Palmdale Playhouse, located at 38334 10th St. East in Palmdale, will celebrate the opening of its newest art exhibit titled “Detailed Moments in Time” by Teddi Bandt with a free reception tomorrow, Thursday, May 11 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Bandt will be on hand to take part in discussions and answer questions about her art. “Teddi Bandt knew by age five that art would always define her,” said Palmdale’s Recreation Coordinator Annie Pagliaro. “As a child, she drew houses, schools and barns from three-quarter angles with correct perspective and free-hand use of vantage points.” Bandt studied art at University Eau Clair, Wisconsin. An award winning artist, she works in graphite, oil, watercolor, acrylic, colored pencil and ink. “Her Midwest roots can be seen in her artwork---landscapes and seascapes transport you to a place not confined within the frame, and her portraits tell a story; both capture that ‘moment in time,’” Pagliaro said. “Detailed Moments in Time” will be on display from May 11 through July 9 in the Palmdale Playhouse.
