NOTICE OF 15-DAY PUBLIC REVIEW CITY OF PALMDALE NOTICE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE CITY’S NSP 2008-2009 ACTION PLAN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to concerned members of the public that the City of Palmdale, California, is proposing to amend the 2008-2009 Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Action Plan. PROPOSED AMENDMENT The City of Palmdale Economic Development Department, Housing Division is proposing an amendment, which, if approved, will transfer funding from the “Redevelop Demolished or Vacant Properties –Acq, Rehab for Public Facility” to “Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Disposition of Vacant Units.” PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT When a non-substantial change is proposed to any of the programs, projects or activities previously approved by HUD, the public must be notified to allow the public an opportunity to comment on the proposed change(s). BENEFIT TO THE CITY The specific purpose of this amendment is to reallocate NSP funds to be to acquire and rehabilitate housing units in eligible census tract block groups and to resell the housing units to eligible households. Activity and/or funds to be reprogrammed: Program Year Activity Funds to be Reprogrammed FY 2008-09 Redevelop Demolished or Vacant Properties –Acq, Rehab for Public Facility $47,140 Activities to be funded through this amendment: Program Year Activity Estimated funding FY 2008-09 Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Disposition of Vacant Units $47,140 The City of Palmdale is currently soliciting public comments with regard to the proposed reprogramming and utilization of NSP funds.
