FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: March 2, 2017 “Sew What” Palmdale City Library’s Spin a Yarn PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library’s crochet and knit club, Spin a Yarn, will meet on Thursday, March 9 from 5:30 to 7 pm in the Activity Room of the Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd. Spin a Yarn is free and open to the public, and meets on the second Thursday of the month. Knowledge of the basics is required, but all skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. Participants work independently and should bring their own yarn with needles or hooks. The Library will provide snacks, refreshments and access to many books on knitting and crocheting. “Stop by the Library with your knitting or crocheting projects and meet some fellow yarn-lovers. You might pick up a tip or two while making new friends,” said Library Associate Jaimie Jordan. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
