FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: June 26, 2017 City of Palmdale to Host Housing Rights Workshop for Landlords and Tenants This Thursday PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale and the Housing Rights Center will host a free housing rights workshop for landlords and tenants this Thursday, June 29 from 4 to 6 pm at the Chimbole Cultural Center, Joshua Room, 38350 Sierra Highway in Palmdale. Topics will include fair housing laws, evictions, late fees, rent increases, sexual harassment, notices to vacate, illegal practices, security deposits, disability rights, familial status, advertisements, repairs and more. The Housing Rights Center is a nonprofit agency that works to help provide equal housing access to all residents in the communities it serves. The Center assists homebuyers, rental tenants and housing professionals with free counseling services on fair housing law, public education seminars on housing discrimination and landlord/tenant issues.
