The program will be led by Jasmin Knauer, who holds a master’s degree in spiritual with a special emphasis in conscious health and healing. Monday, March 5 – How to Prevent Identity Theft and Scams Aimed at Seniors, Legacy Commons, 9 am. This presentation will help you prevent identity theft, recognize common scams and minimize your risk of becoming a victim. This free presentation is geared towards seniors, but is open to the public. Monday, March 5 – Identity Theft and Scam Prevention, City Council Chamber, 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Join the crime prevention staff and Community Deputy for a presentation on recognizing scams and protecting yourself from identity theft, fraud and internet crimes. Tuesday, March 6 - Housing Rights Legal Clinic with Neighborhood Legal Services, 9 am – 5 pm at SAVES, 1002 E Ave Q-12. The NLS team provides free assistance to individuals and families dealing with fair housing, unsafe conditions, mobile home residency law, loan modification, fraud, consumer debt, Section 8 legal problems and landlord/ tenant problems. Walk-ins are welcome or call 1-[PHONE REDACTED] to make an appointment or speak with an in-take advocate. Tuesday, March 6– Alanon High Nooners Meeting, Chimbole Cultural Center, 12:15 to 1:45 pm. Tuesday, March 6 - #RocktheArtPalmdale, Marie Kerr Park Community Building, 4-5pm. This activity is cohosted with members of the #AVRocks group. Paint a rock with any design. Then hide it in your local park for anyone to find. The goal is that the finder will not only enjoy the rock, but will use the social media forum to document the location and then re-hide the rock for the cycle to continue. The goal is that the finder will not only enjoy the rock, but will use the social media forum to document the location and then re-hide the rock for the cycle to continue.
