X-55 A.C.C.A. Routing Logistics, LLC Palmdale’s Adopt-a-Plane program allows interested groups to “adopt” an aircraft on display at the Joe Davies Heritage Airpark – Plant 42. These groups commit to cleaning the aircraft as well as the surrounding landscape on a basis, February – October. Groups should have 6-10 people for most aircraft. Cleaning is done from 7am-11am on the second Saturday of each month except for July (summer break). The City of Palmdale / Joe Davies Airpark, provides all the tools necessary to wash and clean the aircraft and landscape. Adult Supervision is required for all minors in each group. Adoptions are available on a first-come, first serve basis. As part of the program, all adopting groups receive: • Group name on a sign next to the aircraft • Groups name on the City’s website • Invitation to special events at the Airpark • Recognition at the annual volunteer awards ceremony • Bar-b-que at the last wash of the year in October • Press release announcing the first scheduled cleaning for the new year.
