Palmdale Blvd, 5th Street West to Medical Center Drive Intermittent lane closures for center landscape median renovation. 3. Elizabeth Lake Road from 2500’ East of Ranch Center Drive to 1500’ West of Joshua Ranch Road Temporary traffic control with changed lane pattern, reduced speeds, and a temporary three way stop at the intersection of Elizabeth Lake Road and Ranch Center Drive for the Joshua Ranch development’s sewer and water improvements. 4. North side of Avenue P-8 (Bulldog Ave.) between 20th Street West and 30th Street West Intermittent number two lane closures for landscape assessment district tree trimming. 5. Residential streets bounded by Avenue R-8, Avenue S, 20th Street East, and 25th Street East Temporary no-parking and limited access limited access due to slurry sealing. 6. Residential streets bounded by Heathrow Drive, Vicker Way, Ave O-8 and Towncenter Drive Temporary daytime closures on various streets due to slurry sealing 7. Division From Palmdale Blvd To Avenue Q-4 Intermittent lane closures for gas line replacement. 8. Southbound 25th Street West from Rancho Vista Boulevard to Avenue P-8 Intermittent No. 2 lane closures for landscape assessment district restoration. 9. 10th Street East, 9th Street East, Avenue Q-11 and Avenue Q-12 Intermittent street and lane closures for Courson Arts Colony offsite utility and street improvements. Q-12 closed between 10TH Street East and 11th Street East. ---PAGE BREAK--- Streetlighting Retrofit Traffic Control Areas The City recently acquired nearly 18,000 streetlights from Southern California Edison and is in the process of converting them from High Pressure Sodium (HPS) to Light Emitting Diode (LED). The new LED lights are more energy efficient and last up to five times longer than the old HPS. The contractor will be spending no more than ten minutes at each light, and any effect on traffic should be brief.
