FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: April 30, 2018 Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle Featured at Mid-Week Movie at the Palmdale City Library PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., will host a showing of the featured film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) rated PG-13, on Wednesday, May 2 at 5:30 pm as part of its Mid-Week Movie program. Admission and popcorn are free. In the brand new adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji. When they discover an old video game console with a game they've never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game's jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji - Jumanji plays you. They'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they'll be stuck in the game forever... The Library hosts a free showing of featured films every Wednesday evening. Movies scheduled to be shown in May at 5:30 pm include The Post (2017) rated PG-13 on May 9, Big Hero Six (2014) rated PG on May 16, Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) rated PG-13 on May 23, and The Incredibles (2004) rated PG on May 30. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Palmdale City Library. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week.
