FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: August 20, 2018 City of Palmdale to Host ―Yappy Hour---Summer Splash‖ at Yellen Dog Park PALMDALE – The City of Palmdale will host a ―Yappy Hour—Summer Splash‖ at the Yellen Dog Park, located at 5100 E. Avenue S, on Thursday, Aug. 23 from 6 to 8 pm. Admission is free. ―Yappy Hour‖ is designed for dog park users to get together, socialize and let their dogs try out some fun, basic agility equipment. ―We’ll have dog pools and games available for use,‖ said Palmdale’s Senior Program Leader Joi Christy. ―Music and a howling good time is to be expected. Bathing suits are encouraged but not required for our four-legged fur-babies.‖ Recreation and Culture staff will be available to answer any questions related to the dog park. Yellen Dog Park hours are from sunrise to sunset.
