Palmdale Blvd. Published in 1840 in Russian, A Hero of Our Time contains five linked episodes that build the portrait of a man caught up in and expressing the sickness of his times. Copies of A Hero in Our Time are available for check out at the library. The Classics Book Club meets on the fourth Monday of every month from 7 to 8 pm. New members are welcome to attend. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
