FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: July 28, 2017 Spin a Yarn on Tap at Palmdale City Library in August PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library’s knit and crochet program, Spin a Yarn, will be held Thursday, Aug. 10, from 5:30 to 7 pm in the Activity Room of the Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd. Spin a Yarn is held the second Thursday of each month. Knowledge of the basics is required, but all skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. Participants work independently and should bring their own yarn and needles or hooks. The Library will provide snacks and refreshments and participants will have access to the Library’s books on knitting and crocheting. “Stuck on a section of your pattern or needing some inspiration?” asked Library Associate Jaimie Jordan. “Come by the Library for Spin a Yarn and see what other knitters and crocheters are up to.” The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
