FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: June 17, 2017 ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR THE WEEK OF June 19 THROUGH June 25, 2017 GENERAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION: Avenue S from 30th St. East to 45th St. East Intermittent lane and shoulder closures for street improvements, storm drain and signal installation. Palmdale Blvd. and 12th Street East Caltrans Project Intermittent lane closures for the installation of a traffic signal and street improvements. 25th West From Elizabeth Lake Road to Rancho Vista Blvd. Intermittent lane closures for the installation of a traffic signal fiber optic conduit. Avenue R and 40th Street East Intermittent lane and shoulder closures for the Guidance Charter School utility installation and street improvements. Rancho Vista Blvd. between 10th Street West and the Antelope Valley Mall entrance Full lane closure for both the number 1 east and west bound lanes on June 22 and 23 for completion of the landscaped center medians.. The closure should be in effect between 6 am until 2:30 pm each day. STREET CLOSURE WITH DETOUR 35th East will be closed to through traffic between Avenue Q-10 and Palmdale Blvd. beginning Monday, March 27 and continuing for 6 to 8 weeks This will be a street closure with a detour in place. Work is being done for the installation of water, storm drain and street improvements for the new Palmdale Aerospace Academy.
