38250 Sierra Highway · Palmdale, CA 93550 · 661/267-5353 · 661/267-5355 fax STREETLIGHT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FORMATION Formation of a street light assessment district requires the following items to be submitted with 2nd plan check of the street lighting plan: • Letter to the City Engineer requesting formation of the district Additional information to include in the letter: o Developer’s name, address, phone number and contact o Engineering firms name, address, phone number and contact • $1,770 + outside consulting costs and processing fee + 5% GIS fee • Street Light Assessment District diagram (per City Standard) • Copy of the approved street lighting plan for formation processing Once all documentation is received, the City will instruct our formation consultant to proceed with the formation of the district. Prior to the placement of the formation on the City Council agenda, the Developer must submit a deposit to the City in the amount of the calculated annual assessment. Submission of documentation and deposit should be received at least 2 months prior to placement on a City Council agenda Revised: 07/01/2025 ---PAGE BREAK--- 38250 Sierra Highway · Palmdale, CA 93550 · 661/267-5353 · 661/267-5355 fax LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT FORMATION Formation of a landscape assessment district requires the following items to be submitted with first plan check of landscape maintenance district plans: • Submission of cost estimate for landscape improvements by civil engineer • Letter to the City Engineer requesting formation of the district Additional information to include in the letter: o Developer’s name, address, phone number and contact o Engineering firms name, address, phone number and contact • $1,770 + outside consulting costs and processing fee + 5% GIS fee • Landscape Assessment District diagram (per City Standard) • Copy of the approved Landscape Maintenance District Plan for formation processing Once all documentation is received, the City will instruct our formation consultant to proceed with the formation of the district, for placement on the City Council agenda.
