FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: December 28, 2017 Spin a Yarn Kicks off New Year at Palmdale City Library PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library’s knit and crochet program will be held Thursday, Jan. 11, from 5:30 to 7 pm in the Activity Room of the Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd. Spin a Yarn is held on the second Thursday of each month. Knowledge of the basics is required, but all skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. Participants work independently and should bring their own yarn and needles or hooks. The Library will provide snacks and refreshments and participants will have access to the Library’s books on knitting and crocheting. “The New Year is a time when many people set goals,” said Library Associate Jaimie Jordan. “Whether your goal is to strengthen new knitting/crocheting skills, brush up on ones you haven’t used lately, or finally finish that project gathering dust, stop in!” The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
