NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PALMDALE A Public Hearing will be held by the Planning Commission of the City of Palmdale in the Larry Chimbole Cultural Center at 38350 Sierra Highway in Palmdale, California, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. The Planning Commission will review and consider the following items: 1) Conditional Use Permit 09-10 Time Extension No. 1; an application by Virtual Site Walk, requesting approval of the first 10-year time extension to CUP 09-10 for the operation of an existing minor communications facility located at 2531 Olive Drive. Planner: Matthew Alcuran, Assistant Planner A Mitigated Negative Declaration was previously prepared for Conditional Use Permit 09-10 and adopted by the Planning Commission on October 14, 2009, finding that the project would not have a significant impact on the environment. 2) General Plan Amendment 18-005 and Zone Change 18-006; an application by Childs Trust, requesting to change the General Plan land use designation from HDR (High Density Residential, 50-60 du/acre) to DC (Downtown Commercial) and to change the zoning designation from R-4 (50) (High Density Residential) to C-D MX (Downtown Commercial-Mixed Use Overlay) on the south side of Avenue Q-6, centrally located between 9th Street East and 10th Street East, and immediately west of the existing Kingdom Hall church. Planner: Matthew Alcuran, Assistant Planner This project has been determined to be Categorically Exempt pursuant to Section 15601(b)(3) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. Copies of the application, maps, plans, environmental documents, and other pertinent materials related to these projects are available for public review at the Planning Division (38250 Sierra Highway). On the Monday prior to the meeting date, the staff report for these projects will also be available at the Planning Division counter, the Public Library (700 East Palmdale Boulevard), Department of Recreation and Culture (38260 10th Street East), and City Hall (38300 Sierra Highway, Suite Prior to the hearing, the public is invited to submit written comments on these matters to the Planning Division (661/267-5200). Please refer to the case number listed above and address correspondence to the project planner. If you challenge the Planning Commission decision in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Division at, or prior to, the public hearing.
