FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: February 1, 2018 AJCC to Host Recruitment for DH Enterprises PALMDALE – The America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) (formerly the South Valley WorkSource Center), located at 38510 Sierra Highway in Palmdale, will host a job recruitment for housekeeping custodians for Desert Haven Enterprises on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 9 am. Since 1954, Desert Haven has been assisting persons with developmental disabilities to achieve their dreams of becoming productive, independent, fully- participating members of their community. Their programs provide those whom they serve, referred to as “consumers,” with the opportunity to learn important skills needed in everyday life at home, in the community, and on the job. Position requirements include previous experience performing janitorial/ housekeeping or grounds maintenance duties, clean DMV driving record, training/supervisory experience, ability to pass live scan and drug test, registered with CalJobs SSM, EEOC/VET and ability to work effectively with persons with developmental disabilities. CPR/first aid certified is preferred.
