FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: May 26, 2017 Park Watch Meeting Coming to Marie Kerr Park in Palmdale on May 31 PALMDALE – The City Of Palmdale’s crime prevention staff and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies will host a Park Watch meeting on Wednesday, May 31 at 7 pm in the activity building next to the skate park at Marie Kerr Park, located at 39700 30th St. West in Palmdale. Similar to Neighborhood Watch, the goal of Park Watch is to prevent crime and vandalism through community involvement. “We are encouraging residents to join us to learn how they can be a part of this crime prevention program for our neighborhood parks,” said Palmdale’s Crime Prevention Specialist Ruth Oschmann. “If you are unable to attend the meeting we ask that you still participate in Park Watch by simply reporting suspicious or illegal activity to the Sheriff’s Department, and vandalism, maintenance or other issues by calling the City of Palmdale’s 94-PRIDE hotline,” Oshmann added.
