FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: February 28, 2018 Palmdale Playhouse to Host West Coast Classical’s “Spring Fling” PALMDALE The Palmdale Playhouse, located at 38334 10th St. East in Palmdale, will present a “Spring Fling” recital by the West Coast Classical Orchestras on Saturday, March 9 at 7:30 pm. “Featuring the West Coast Classical Beginning Strings, Beginning Band, String Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Flute Choir and Saxophone Choir, the audience will be treated to beautiful melodies and harmonies, fresh and unique as a spring day after the rain,” said Palmdale’s Recreation Supervisor Annie Pagliaro. The performance will feature the genius of Ray Charles, Defying Gravity, Chick Corea’s “Spain,” Leroy Anderson’s “The Penny Whistle Song,” a tribute to the band Chicago, and many more pop and light classical compositions.
