SCHEDULE: Palmdale City Library Saturday, February 2, 9 &16 Baby & Me Lap-sit Storytime for Infants pre-walking age (0-18 months) and their caregivers, 9:30 am, with Miss Jamielee. Monday, February 4 Kindness Rocks, 4 pm. Bringing the community together to spread kindness by painting rocks for others to find. Pain and rocks are provided. Free admission, open to all ages. Tuesday, February 5 &12 Preschool Storytime 1 pm. Ages 3–5 with Miss Shay. Tuesday, February 5, 12, 19 & 26 Legal Aid for Low Income Individuals, 3-6 pm. Sunday, February 17 Read, Learn, Create Book Club, 3:30 pm. Read, Learn, Create: A Book Club for the Artistically Inclined is not your typical book club. The “RLC” is intended for creative types who tend to think outside of the box. Open to all creative types, 16 years and older. Tuesday, February 19 African-American Authors Book Club, 6:45 pm. All adults welcome. Discussion of a new title by African-American authors each month. Wednesday, February 20 Midweek Movies, 5:30 pm. Free Willy (PG). Free admission, open to all ages. Mystery Book Club, 7 pm. A new mystery title to discuss each month. Saturday, February 23 Holistic Poetry, 10:30 am. Join us in discovering and examining who we are in mind, body, and spirit through the reading, writing, and discussion of poetry. Monday, February 25 Classics Book Club, Palmdale City Library, 7 pm. At the Parks Friday, February 1, 8, 15, & 22 - Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr Game Night, 4:30-6pm Board games are made available for families to check out and engage in friendly competitions. Ages Fuse Beads – 4:30-6 pm. Create your own designs as fuse beads offer endless ideas and patterns. These small plastic craft pieces are simple and so much fun for kids and adults alike. Tots will be provided with hands-on activities that give them the opportunities to explore their world through a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences. Ages 2-5. Join park staff in fun, recreational sports, such as football, soccer, baseball or others. Stay and play! All ages welcome! Monday, February 4, 11, 18 & 25- Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr Marvel Mondays – 4:30-6 pm. Do you or your little one love super heroes? Park staff has planned activities to create your own mask, storybook, and more. Be sure to share your work with us and help save the world! Hands on and creative ways for kids to invent, play, design, and explore. Ages 8+ Saturday, February 9- Yellen Dog Park Yappy Hour Love Addition- A Tail of True Love, 2-3 pm. Our four legged community members can come to mingle and play at this social event! A kissing booth will be available for both dogs and their humans. Yellen Dog Park has separate fenced play areas for large and small dogs. Monday-Sunday, February 11-17- Domenic Massari & Marie Kerr Random Acts of Kindness Week- During this week come visit park staff to get ideas for your random act of kindness, and join us on Sunday, February 17, 1-3 pm to share your act and receive a token of appreciation.
