CITY OF PALMDALE NOTICE OF NONSUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO THE CITY’S ONE-YEAR ACTION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEARS 2015-2016, AND 2016-2017 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to concerned members of the public that the City of Palmdale, California, has amended the 2015-2016 AND 2016-2017 One-Year Action Plans. AMENDMENT The City of Palmdale Neighborhood Services Department has submitted an amendment to increase the amount of funding for the 2015-2016 Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Program and decrease the 2016-2017 Multi-Family New Construction activities. PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT When a non-substantial change is proposed to any of the programs, projects or activities previously approved by HUD, the public must be notified of the change(s). BENEFIT TO THE CITY The specific purpose of this amendment is to reallocate HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Program funds from the 2016-2017 Multi-Family New Construction to the 2015- 2016 Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Program. The TBRA program provides rental assistance to seniors (age 62+) living in Palmdale rental units who are extremely low income (earning 30% or less of area median income), and whose rent is more than 50% their gross income.
