Palmdale Blvd., continues its Mid-Week Movies program with a showing of the movie Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) rated PG-13 on Wednesday, May 23 at 5:30 pm. Admission and popcorn are free. Brash space adventurer Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) finds himself the quarry of relentless bounty hunters after he steals an orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain. To evade Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with four disparate misfits: gun-toting Rocket Raccoon, treelike-humanoid Groot, enigmatic Gamora, and vengeance-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when he discovers the orb's true power and the cosmic threat it poses, Quill must rally his ragtag group to save the universe The Library hosts a free showing of featured films every Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm. The next movie on tap is The Incredibles (2004) rated PG on May 30. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Palmdale City Library.
