FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: August 14, 2018 African American Authors Book Club to Discuss Black Klansman PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library will host the next meeting of the African-American Authors Book Club to discuss the novel Black Klansman by Ron Stallworth on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 6:45 pm. The book, which has now been adapted into a motion picture, is the real-life account of a black detective with the Colorado Springs Police Department who in 1978 infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan as an undercover member. The African American Authors Book Club meets the third Tuesday of every month at 6:45 pm. New members are welcome to attend. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
