Palmdale Blvd. Authors featured on the panel include G. Lloyd Helm, Loretta Acosta, Maria Morales, Norma Gurba, and Tara Botel Doherty. “Whether you’re a reader, writer or aspiring author, this event is for you,” said President of the Friends Tina Victory. The Friends of the Palmdale City Library is a nonprofit organization staffed by community volunteers and dedicated to raising money for the support of the Palmdale Library. “I have worked with many Friends groups during my library career and each one does amazing behind-the-scenes work for its local public library,” said Palmdale City Library Director Robert Shupe. “The Friends of Palmdale City Library is one of the most effective I have ever been privileged to work with.” The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
