Palmdale Blvd., will host an appearance by Nelida Willis, Young Miss Black Antelope Valley of AV Pageantry, on Saturday, March 25 from 3 to 5 pm to help promote literacy in the Antelope Valley. Ms. Willis will provide all children who sign up for a new library card with a free book while supplies last. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
