PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF PALMDALE DEPARTMENT OF NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE AMENDMENT TO THE CITY’S NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM 2008-2009 ACTION PLAN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to invite public comment and review of the City of Palmdale’s proposal to amend the 2008/2009 Action Plan by the City Council on August 3, 2016 to program funds received from the sale of NSP assisted properties. AMENDMENT The City of Palmdale Department of Neighborhood Services proposes an amendment to reprogram program income to the activities Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Disposition of Vacant Units (2008-001), Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Disposition of Vacant Units 50% AMI (2008- 002), Program Administration, and to add an activity under Project 2008-006 Redevelopment of demolished or vacant properties to redevelop vacant properties through acquisition, rehabilitation, and improvements for public facilities that will provide services for clientele in which 51% of those served are persons of low- or moderate-income. PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT When a substantial change is proposed to any of the programs, projects or activities previously approved by HUD or a new activity added, the public must be notified of the change(s) and of the public hearing. BENEFIT TO THE CITY The specific purpose of this amendment is to reallocate Neighborhood Stabilization Program Grant program income funds to the Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Disposition of Vacant Units (2008-001), Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Disposition of Vacant Units 50% AMI (2008-002), Program Administration, and to add an activity under Project 2008-006 Redevelopment of demolished or vacant properties activities.
