FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: July 17, 2018 Meet & Greet, Book Signing with A. Dru Kristenev at Palmdale City Library PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., will host a presentation and book signing with author A. Dru Kristenev for her Baron book series on Monday, July 23, at 6 pm. Kristenev will discuss a variety of subjects including the five volume Baron series. The latest release in the Baron series, Unknown Predator, spins a tale of facts woven into suspense as two Northeast Oregon ranchers confront aggressive regulators when their livelihood is threatened by wolves that ravage their stock. “One thing I’ve learned over the years of teaching college,” said Kristenev, “is that it’s a rare student who wants to read nonfiction, no matter how informative. So, in 1999, it was given to me to write hard facts into fiction, making them more palatable for the reader.” Kristenev has spent the last 20 years teaching at Inland Northwest colleges and touring the United States, meeting land owners and learning about the challenges they face to keep their businesses productive in an ever-changing regulatory environment. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
