Approved Handout: October 2, 2007 Revised: 01-2008 Contents of Preliminary Hydrology and Hydraulic Study When required for a development project by the City Engineer, the following information shall be provided in the report. 1. Vicinity map of the project in relationship to City of Palmdale street system. 2. Contours/elevations on a sketch to define the drainage area contributory to project site. 3. Existing drainage facilities in the vicinity of the project, including master plan storm drains, sizes of conveyance and pertinent elevations. 4. Provide pre-developed and post-developed Q2, Q10, Q25, and Q50 peak flows offsite and onsite using current Los Angeles County Water Resources Methodology that includes WMS and MODRAT. 5. Indicate how you plan to comply with City’s Master Plan of Drainage. 6. Proposed conceptual scheme or facilities to intercept and convey offsite flows through or around your project site to an acceptable outlet. 7. Proposed mitigation measure onsite to mitigate increased flow per City standard which requires only 85% of existing pre-developed flow can be discharged after development. 8. Location, size, and pertinent elevation of proposed drainage basin(s) including outlet details. 9. Location, size, and number of drywells if proposed as well as percolation test results. 10.
