FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: May 10, 2018 Still Time to Volunteer for Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive to Benefit SAVES PALMDALE – There are still opportunities available for volunteers to participate in City of Palmdale’s next “Season of Service” event for 2018, the “Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive,” which will benefit South Antelope Valley Emergency Services (SAVES), located at 1002 East Ave. Q-12. There will be two opportunities for service. The first will take place this Saturday, May 12 where volunteers will partner with local United States Postal Service letter carriers for the 26th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Volunteers will meet at the US Postal Service Annex, located at 38917 20th St. East in Palmdale. Two shifts will be available; from 3 to 6 pm, and 5 to 8 pm. Registration will take place 30 minutes before each shift. The second will take place on Saturday, May 19 from 9 am to 12 noon at SAVES where volunteers will help process donations from the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive for community distribution.
