FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: May 11, 2018 IQ is Mystery Book Group Selection for May PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library’s Mystery Book Discussion Group “Mystery, Murder and Mayhem” will discuss the book IQ by Joe Ide on Wednesday, May 16, at 7 pm, at the Chimbole Cultural Center, 38350 Sierra Highway. The novel centers around an assuming resident of South Central LA who has a keen intellect for solving murders or any other crimes, and a relentless determination that makes his name the most well-known among clients of varied social and financial statuses. IQ was called 2016’s most original thriller by the Washington Post and its protagonist, Isaiah Quintabe, a “street-smart Sherlock” by the NY Times. The Mystery, Murder and Mayhem Mystery Book Discussion Group meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7 pm, at the Larry Chimbole Cultural Center. The group is open to anyone who enjoys a good mystery. The discussion also provides disabled access with 72 hours’ notice.
