FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: January 26, 2018 Beat the Winter Blues with Spin a Yarn at Palmdale City Library PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library’s knit and crochet program will be held Thursday, Feb. 8, from 5:30 to 7 pm in the Activity Room of the Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd. Spin a Yarn is held on the second Thursday of each month. Knowledge of the basics is required, but all skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. Participants work independently and should bring their own yarn and needles or hooks. The Library will provide snacks and refreshments and participants will have access to the Library’s books on knitting and crocheting. “Got the winter doldrums? Shake things up a bit and try out Spin a Yarn,” said Library Associate Jaimie Jordan. “Get your knitting or crocheting done while meeting new people who share your interest in yarn. We’re always happy to see new faces!” The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
