Overnights PALMDALE — A PUC compliance work/value repair project by Southern California Gas Company will require the closure of the eastbound lane on the east side of Avenue S at 47th St. East (state route 138) from 9 pm to 5 am beginning Monday, Dec. 4. It is expected to be completed in four to six weeks. The street closure will create a detour from Avenue R-8 to 55th St. East and back to Avenue S. The hours of this closure have been planned around peak commuter and local school times.
