FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: July 30, 2018 Palmdale City Library Presents Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd., will host a showing of the featured film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire rated PG-13, on Wednesday Aug. 1, at 5:30 pm. Admission and popcorn are free. The fourth movie in the Harry Potter series sees Harry returning for his fourth year at Hogwarts School of and Wizardry, along with his friends, Ron and Hermione. There is an upcoming tournament between the three major schools of magic, with one participant selected from each school by the Goblet of Fire. When Harry's name is drawn, even though he is not eligible and is a fourth player, he must compete in the dangerous contest. The Library hosts a free showing of featured films every Wednesday evening. Movies scheduled to be shown in August include Adventures in Babysitting (PG-13) on Aug. 8, Akeelah and the Bee (PG) on Aug. 15, The Greatest Showman (PG) on Aug. 22, and Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken on Aug. 29. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of the Palmdale City Library. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
