FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: August 3, 2018 Keep Cool in August at Palmdale City Library’s Spin a Yarn PALMDALE – The Palmdale City Library’s knit and crochet program will be held Thursday, Aug. 9, from 5:30 to 7 pm in the Activity Room of the Library, located at 700 E. Palmdale Blvd. Spin a Yarn is held on the second Thursday of each month. Knowledge of the basics is required, but all skill levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. Participants work independently and should bring their own yarn and needles or hooks. The Library will provide snacks and refreshments and participants will have access to the Library’s books on knitting and crocheting. “Stuck on a section of your pattern or needing some inspiration? Come by the Library for Spin A Yarn to see what other knitters and crocheters are up to and to take a look at our pattern and technique books,” said Library Associate Jaimie Jordan. The Palmdale City Library is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm; and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
