FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CITY OF PALMDALE NEWS RELEASE CONTACT: John Mlynar PHONE: 661/267-5115 DATE: March 22, 2018 ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FOR THE WEEK OF March 26 THROUGH April 1, 2018 GENERAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION: Avenue S from 42nd Street East to State Route 138 Intermittent Lane closure for AT&T conduit installation 10th Street East, 9th Street East, Avenue Q-11 and Avenue Q-12 Intermittent street and lane closures for Courson Arts Colony offsite utility and street improvements. East side of Division Street from 100’ south of Gaitano Drive to northeast corner of Bolero Drive Intermittent lane and shoulder closures for landscape assessment district renovation. Avenue S will be closed east bound on the east side of 47th East with a detour to R-8 from 9 pm to 5 am Monday through Friday Street closure with detour in place for Southern California Gas Company to work on gas main. 22nd Street East between Avenue Q-6 to Palmdale Blvd. Intermittent lane and shoulder closures for street improvements. Avenue R and 40th Street East Intermittent lane and shoulder closures for the Guidance Charter School utility installation and street improvements. Expect delays. STREET CLOSURE WITH DETOUR 35th East will be closed to through traffic between Avenue Q-10 and Palmdale Blvd. Street closure with a detour in place. Work is being done for the installation of water, storm drain & street improvements for the Palmdale Aerospace Academy.
