PNWEAC MINUTES February 11, 2020 1 Pursuant to NRS a meeting of the PAHRUMP PUBLIC LANDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE was held at 6:00 PM, on February 11, 2020, at the Bob Ruud Community Center, Rm. A, located at 150 N. Hwy 160, Pahrump, NV 89060. 1. Pledge of Allegiance. 7:05 pm 2. Roll Call. Mike Zaman, Rick Tretter, Robert Adams, Deb Strickland (BOCC), Craig Lusk, Faith Muello (Cleanup Pahrump), James Grof (BLM), Ryan Gallagher (BLM) 3. Approval of Agenda for February 11, 2020. No call for changes. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First). A. Craig Lusk reported trails possibly closed by Spring Mtn Raceway expansion. B. Faith Muello discussed clean up Pahrump. 5. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of Draft Minutes of the PAHRUMP PUBLIC LANDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE, meeting of December 10, 2019. Move to approve by Rick Tretter, 2nd by Robert Adams, yes by all. 6. Announcements (first) A. Commissioner Debra Strickland was appointed the Liaison for the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee at the January 22, 2020 BOCC meeting. B. OML Training will be February 25, 2020 at 1:30 PM in the Pahrump BOCC Chambers. Please make sure to RSVP to the email address provided. C. Robert Adams and Rick Tretter were approved by the BOCC on January 22, 2020 to sit on the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee. D. New meeting location, Pahrump Cemetery. E. Deb Strickland reported H&S Road blocked at end of Superior Road. F. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas) A. Robert Adams, Pahrump to Tonopah Offroad Trail. James Grof stated his superiors asked why trails need to be marked because no threats of closure by disposal or ACEC. Robert Adams replied that marked trails provide riding opportunities for riders, keeps riders on trails, and the trails mapped for designation are the last left to get thru some area. Lose them OHV riders are landlocked. B. Robert Adams, Senator Cortez-Masto discussion draft of NV Economic Development & Conservation Bill. 8. For possible action – Nominate and vote for 2020 PLAC officers. Discussion to wait till full committee present. Move stay the same by Rick Tretter, 2nd by Robert Adams, yes by all. 9. Discussion of PLAC Spring Mountain Guzzlers inspection and maintenance (NDOW- Nevada Dept. of Wildlife) partnership. Before the meeting please fill in NDOW volunteer agreements at tration Has everyone sent their volunteer paperwork to NDOW? A. How to use NDOW website demonstration by Robert Adams. Continued. 10. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Second) A. Robert Adams, coyote trapping in Pahrump. B. Faith Muello, how to get people involved in cleanups. 11. ANNOUNCEMENTS (Second) Ryan Gallagher, new PFO manager left.
