PAHRUMP PUBLIC LANDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES March 08, 2022 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee was held on March 08, 2022, at 5:00pm at the Board of County Commissioners Chambers. 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:03pm. 2. Roll Call Jim Hannah, Mike Zaman, Frank Slaghuis, Robert Adams, Rick Tretter, Deb Strickland. 3. Approval of the agenda for March 08, 2022. Jim Hannah removed Item 8. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (first). No public. 5. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of minutes of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee meeting of February 22, 2022. Jim Hannah moved to approve. 2nd by Frank Slaghuis. Yes, by all. 6. Announcements (first) Deb Strickland reported on public lands meeting with BLM Nick Pay, and NCPW Tom Bolling and Jim Shaner regarding ROW and BLM range fence to be installed. 7. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas) Jim Hannah asked PLAC consider participation in the Wild West Extravaganza. Rick Tretter suggests PLAC pay more attention to solar projects. 8. Presentation – Report by BLM (Bureau of Land Management) on the status of proposed actions and projects located on lands managed by the BLM’s Pahrump and Las Vegas Field Offices. Removed. BLM did not attend. 9. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to make recommendation to Board of County Commissioners regarding re-routing Phase 1 (SR ---PAGE BREAK--- PAHRUMP PUBLIC LANDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES March 08, 2022 160 & Crawford to SR 160 & Roadrunner Rd.) of the Pahrump to Tonopah Offroad Trail. Jim Hannah moved PLAC ask Nye County work with Nevada State Parks to amend Phase 1 of Pahrump-Tonopah OHV Trail RTP Grant to temporarily re-route around a ROW gap. 2nd by Robert Adams. Yes, by all. 10. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to set time and place for next meeting. Frank Slaghuis moved PLAC meet April 12 at 5pm. 11.
