2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 l0 11 t2 13 14 l5 l6 t7 18 19 20 2t 22 23 24 25 TOWN OF PAHRT]MP RESOLUTION NO.2024-02 A RESOLUTION DISSOLVING THE PAHRUMP TOURISM ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the Nye County Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the goveming board for the Town of Pahrump is responsible for protecting the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of tle unincorporated Town of Pahrump; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the Pahrump Tourism Advisory Committee (PTAC) is to act in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners with regard to all public park plans wittrin the Town of Pahrump, and to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners with requests for expenditures from the Room Tax fund generated within the Town of Pahrump.; and WHEREAS, Nevada Revised Statue 241.015(4) defines a public body as any administrative, advisory, executive or legislative body ofthe State or a local government consisting ofat least two persons which expends or disburses or is supported in whole or in part by tax revenue or which advises or makes recommendations to any entity which expends or disburses or is supported in whole or in part by tax revenue, including, but not limited to, any board, commission, committee, subcommittee or other subsidiary thereof and includes a library foundation as defined in NRS 379.0056, an educational foundation as defined in subsection 3 ofNRS 388.750 and a university foundation as defrned in subsection 3 ofNRS 396.405, if the administrative, advisory, executive or legislative body is created by; and WIIEREAS, PTAC does not serve the purpose it was intended for, does not expend or disburse tax revenue, and has not advised or made recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners, the entity which expends or disburses or is supported in whole or in part by tax revenue. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that the Pahrump Tourism Advisory Committee be dissolved and disbanded. APPROVED this 176 day ofDecember, 2024.
