Minutes of the Pahrump Public Land Advisory Committee September 13, 2022 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee was held on September 13, 2022, at 5:00pm at the Pahrump Nye County Commissioner’s Chambers 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order 5pm. Rick Tretter, Jim Hannah, Robert Adams, Frank Slaghuis, Mike Zaman, BLM Ryan Gallagher, NC Commissioner Deb Strickland attending. 2. Approval of the agenda for September 13, 2022. No changes called for. 3. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First). Ryan Gallagher reported Beatty Days going forward. An adoption event considered. And he reported the Death Valley road report by Town of Beatty. Deb Strickland reported the NV Offroad Summit next month. Robert Adams reported a letter to PPLAC from Anthony Turr regarding the proposed solar project on Basin Road. 4. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of minutes of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee meeting of August 9, 2022 Mike Zaman reported attendance record errors. Rick Tretter moved we accept with changes. 2nd by Frank Slaghuis. Yes by all. 5. Announcements (First). None. 6. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas). Robert Adams suggested PPLAC do a local Public Lands Day. Discussion broadened to Bell Vista shooting range. It’s on pause but still alive. 7. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to participate in Pahrump’s Fall Festival Sept. 22 – 24. Commissioner Strickland reported there will be a booth. Jim Hannah moved we participate. 2nd by Frank Slaghuis. Yes by all. 8. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to participate in the Possible projects discussed were the Kilns, Hughes Cabin, Old Rte 16, Hughes Cabin, kilns.
