1 TOWN OF PAHRUMP RESOLUTION NO. 2020-04 2 A RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE TOWN OF PAHRUMP AIRPORT ROOM TAX FUND (25225) AND THE TOWN OF PAHRUMP AIRPORT GRANT FUND (25340) 4 WHEREAS, the Nye County Board of County Commissioners, on June 18, 2018, passed Town 5 of Pahrump Bill No. 2018-01, a Bill proposing to reallocate Town of Pahrump room tax funds 6 removing the Pahrump Airport Room Tax Fund from the distribution of room taxes. 7 WHEREAS, the Nyc County Board of County Commissioners, on June 27, 2018, approved the 8 transfer of all funds in the Pahrurnp Airport Room Tax Fund to be split between the Pahrurnp Golf 9 Course Fund (25521) and the Fairgrounds Room Tax Fund (25414). 10 WHEREAS, the original purpose of the Pahrump Airport Room Tax Fund was the handling of 11 room tax funds, which is no longer necessary; and 12 WHEREAS, on August 28, 2003, at a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of 13 Pahrump, County of Nyc, State of Nevada, the board created via Town of Pahrump Resolution No. 14 2003-06 the Pahrump Airport Grant Fund (25340); and 15 WHEREAS, the original purpose of the Airport Grant Fund (25340) was the handling of FAA 16 grant funds, which is no longer necessary; and 17 WHEREAS, the Nyc County Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the governing board for 18 the Town of Pahrump, has therefore decided to close the Pahrump Airport Room Tax Fund (25225) and 19 the Pahrump Airport Grant Fund (25340). 20 NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED, that Nye County, Nevada, shall close the 21 Pahrump Airport Room Tax Fund and the Pahrump Airport Grant Fund. 22 IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Nye County Clerk shall forward the necessary 23 documents to the Department of Taxation, State of Nevada. 24 APPROVED this 191h day of May, 2020. 25 Resolution 2020-04 Close the Pahrump Airport Room Tax Fund 25225 and the Pahrump Airport Grant Fund 25340 ---PAGE BREAK--- 1 AYES: NAYS: 2 KOENIG NONE 3 STRICKLAND 4 WICHNAN 5 cox 6 BLUNDO 7 Absent: 8 NONE 9 NYE COUNTY ATTEST: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: 27 12 n Ky’ng’hairman San ra iL Merlino, Nye County Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Board 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 Resolution 2020-04 Close the Pahrump Airport Room Tax Fund 25225 and the Pahrump Airport Grant Fund 25340
