PAHRUMP PUBLIC LANDS ADVISORY COMMITTEE DRAFT MINUTES May 10, 2022 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee was held on May 10, 2022, at 5:00pm at the Board of County Commissioners Chambers. 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:00pm. 2. Roll Call Rick Tretter, Jim Hannah, Robert Adams, BLM PFO Mgr. Nick Pay, 2 GUESTS 3. Approval of the agenda for May 10, 2022. No changes. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (first). None. 5. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of minutes of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee meeting of April 12, 2022. Jim Hannah moved to approve. 2nd by Rick Tretter. Yes, by all. 6. Announcements (first) None. 7. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas) Robert Adams asked PLAC consider participation in the current RMP. Nick Pay commented the RMP is being handled by the State Office. 8. Presentation – Report by BLM (Bureau of Land Management) on the status of proposed actions and projects located on lands managed by the BLM’s Pahrump and Las Vegas Field Offices. Nick Pay commented Rough Hat Nye is on hold. Rough Hat Clark and Copper Rays are moving to the next step of letters to Cooperating Partners. Presentation – Pahrump Wild West Extravaganza report. Jim Hannah reported problems getting back to pre-COVID preparations and level of interest. 10. Presentation – Discussion to remind the committee of Carpenter Canyon NDOW small game guzzler tomorrow at parking area outside Carpenter Canyon Road BLM fire station at 8am. Postponed due to lack of participation. 11. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to set time and place for next meeting. June 14, 2022, at 5:00 pm. 12. General Public Comment (second). Tim Bohannon said WWE’s biggest attraction was the Monster Trucks and need for better organization. 13. Announcements (second). None. 14.
