PAAC - Minutes February 14, 2019 1 Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee was held at 7:00PM on February 14, 2019 at the Bob Ruud Community Center, Room A, located at 150 N Hwy 160 Pahrump, NV 89060. 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order. Robert Called to order at 7:05 P.M. Pledge done 2. Roll Call Loyce S, Robert T, Cody C, Darius M, Steve C, Bryan Bondurant, Debbie P, Steve P, Andrea M, Scot. 3. Approval of the Agenda for Feb 14, 2019. Scot made a motion to approve, Darius second, all in favor. 4. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First) Bryan Bondurant, is with American quarter horse association. Used to have a show manager card. He will get his card within a month. And get back to us for events in 2020. 5. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of Minutes of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee, meeting of January 10, 2019. Scot asked to make an adjustment to need Michelle to be a member and Darius second all in favor. 6. Announcements (First) Steve P, would like to remind everyone of High school rodeo Feb 21-24. 7. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of Arena Reservations. Scot has questions. Need to check on form for Live a little, A line item for changing the arena. Scot wanted to charge a $500.00 non refundable charge and discuss the arena being put back to the way it was. 8. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding Arena fixes. Darius said overhead bars broke off the panels and pins need welded. Need to check with the town to see if oil change has been serviced. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding purchase of water truck and covering the main portion of the arena. Specs were sent to Matt, Steve is working on finding someone to assemble something over 100’ spane. Darius said he knows someone and would get with Steve. Scot said he talked to American Structures. He would work with contractors but cannot build them. 150’X300’ at a height of around 24’ Need to check to see how high the large stands are. 10. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of acquiring/ asking if Commissioner Strickland would become the PAAC Liaison due to her time in Pahrump, knowledge and experience related to the Pahrump arena. Scot made a motion to ask PAAC to have Commissioner Strickland be PAAC AlLiason Steve second. All in favor. 11. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas) We need to make an agenda for repair of the arena on next meeting for welding. 12. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Second) Andrea, Would like keep her sign in the arena. If agreed she has a check ready. Steve C made a motion to Loyce second all in favor. 13. ANNOUNCEMENTS (Second) None 14.
