PAHRUMP ARENA ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order. Darius called meeting to order at 1900 / 7 p.m. 2. Roll Call. Darius Mann, Kamal Mann, Shane Chapman, Trish Phelps, Andrea McGuire, Jimmy Martinez. Tawny Wald called in for the meeting. 3. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person). Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First). None. 4. Approval of the Agenda for July 10, 2025. Shane motioned to accept, Kamal seconded. No public comment. Passed 4-0. 5. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of Minutes of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee meeting on June 12, 2025. Kamal motioned to accept. Shane seconded. No public comment. Passed 4-0. 6. Announcements (First). Some Like It Hot barrel race will be held Friday July 18, 2025. 7. Liaison/ Nye County Staff/ Town of Pahrump Staff Comments (This item limited to announcements/ topics/ issues proposed for future workshops or agendas). None. 8. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of arena reservations and follow up on existing reservations. Nye Country Staff/ Town of Pahrump Staff to Present current funds for the arena. Jimmy presented the current funds for the arena. Arena currently has $220,000.00 in its two combined accounts. 10. For Discussion only – 2025 Fall Fest Rodeo updates. No new updates.. 11. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation regarding arena upgrades, repairs, and equipment purchases. Trish Phelps asked if a pop-up tent could be purchased for use during reserved events. This will be continued on the next meeting Agenda. 12. For discussion only – Status of purchasing leveling equipment. Jimmy updated that this has been approved just pending a few more steps. 13.
