PAHRUMP ARENA ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES Veterans Memorial Building 751 East Street, Pahrump NV 89048 October 12,2023 7:00 PM 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order. 7:00 pm Robert called meeting to order; Pledge spoken. 2. Roll Call Robert Darius M, Scot Jimmy Martinez, Debra Strickland Tawny Lyn Shirky, Matt Saddler 3. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (first) None. 4. Approval of the Agenda for October 12, 2023. Darius made a motion to approve, Scot second, all in favor. 5. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation of Minutes of the Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee, meeting of September 14, 2023 Darius made a motion to approve, Scot second, all in favor 6. Announcements (First) All October weekends are full. 7. Liaison/ Nye County Staff/ Town of Pahrump Staff Comments: (This item limited to announcements/ topics/ issues proposed for future workshops or agendas. None 8. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation on the review of policies and bylaws. Tabled to next meeting and to include Reservation Form 10. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of Arena reservations. Darius motions to accept January 13, 2024 date for Mounted Shooters, Scot seconds, all in favor. Steve motions to accept Bailey Chappell reservation for a wedding Oct 12,2024, Darius seconds, all in favor. Darius motions to accept 2024 dates for NWHF, Scot seconds, all in favor. Steve motions to accept Matt Saddler reservation for wrestling match on Dec 17, 2024, Michelle seconds, all in favor. Jimmy is confirming 2024 Fall Fest dates. 11. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation 2024 Fall Fest Rodeo – A date for a subcommittee meeting will be worked out 12. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation on updates on the Fairgrounds. Debra requested we submit a plot plan and pricing guidance. A subcommittee meeting will be set. 13. For Possible Action - Discussion and deliberation regarding arena fixes and/ or repairs. None 14. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/ issues proposed for future workshops/agendas. It was suggested to discuss updating the policies, bylaws, and reservation form at a workshop but was not approved. 15. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (second) none 16. ANNOUNCEMENTS (second) - None 17.
