Pahrump Public Land Advisory Committee November 8, 2022 DRAFT MINUTES Pursuant to NRS, a meeting of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee was held on November 8, 2022, at 5:00pm at the Pahrump Nye County Commissioner’s Chambers 1. Pledge of Allegiance and Call to Order. 5pm. Mike Zaman, Rick Tretter, Jim Hannah, Robert Adams, Frank Slaghuis, and Commissioner Deb Strickland. 2. Approval of the agenda for November 08, 2022, No changes. 3. GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT (Three-minute time limit per person.) Action will not be taken on the matters considered during this period until specifically included on an agenda as an action item (First). 4. For Possible Action – Discussion and deliberation of minutes of the Pahrump Public Lands Advisory Committee meeting of October 11, 2022. Debra Strickland asked correction of the new shooting range location. The new shooting range will be part of Front Sight. Move to approve with change by Rick Tretter. 2nd by Jim Hannah. Yes by all. 5. Announcements (First) Veterans Day 6. Committee Comments (This item limited to announcements or topics/issues proposed for future workshops/agendas). Mike Zaman asked about preservation grant for Wheeler Kilns. Rick Tretter asked about solar projects. Robert Adams said email had been sent to all regarding upcoming BLM zoom meetings. 7. Presentation by Matthew Giltner, Executive Director of the Nevada Offroad Association regarding the Southside Trailhead grant. Jim Hannah moved we work with NV Offroad to submit grant. 2nd by Frank Shalguis. Yes by all. 8. For Possible Action – Discussion, deliberation, and possible decision to set date, time, and location for next meeting. Jim Hannah moved we meet 12/13. 2nd by Frank Slaghuis. Yes by all. 9.
